Who we are
Presso is an AI powered news briefing app operated from Vienna, Austria. We are responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this policy.
Website: presso.at
What data we collect
When you use Presso, we collect the data you provide directly, such as your email address when you sign up, your topic preferences, and your chosen delivery format (audio or text).
We also collect usage data to improve the product: which briefings you open, which topics you engage with, and technical information like your device type and app version. We do not sell this data to third parties.
Why we collect it
We use your data to deliver and personalize your daily briefing, to send you the briefing at your chosen time, and to improve our AI models and content selection over time. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep it
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Third party services
Presso uses a small number of third party services to operate, including cloud infrastructure and email delivery. These processors handle your data only on our instruction and under data processing agreements in line with GDPR requirements.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can also object to processing, request data portability, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@presso.at.
Cookies
The Presso website does not set its own cookies. The current mobile app uses local device storage for login sessions and onboarding progress, but the reviewed app code does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
Some hosting, security, API, authentication, payment, or infrastructure providers may process technical connection data such as IP address, device and browser information, requested URL, timestamp, and server logs to deliver the service securely.
